I worked with the Apple's Education events team, supporting their global Education events across London, Madrid, Rome, Vienna and Warsaw. Before each event I was editing video packages to be played on the main stages, then once things were live I was assisting the camera crew and managing the daily rushes, on top of things like last minute wayfinding graphics for the venue and additions to the keynote presentation, sometimes literally minutes before a speaker walked out on stage.
After each event I put together sizzle reels, mixing attendee footage and behind the scenes moments with key stats, things like attendee numbers, satisfaction scores, right down to the number of hours myself and the team had poured into making it all happen.
It was a gruelling project at times, long days in the venues, working in four countries over a 10 day period, moving furniture on and off stage in a very quick changeover, but it was also a genuine joy. It pushed my role further into live events, and gave me a lot of creative flex on the infographic side, pulling inspiration from Apple's iconic brand and product line while still keeping a playful energy that reflected the students the whole event was actually built around.
I also learned I make an excellent stand-in for education leaders when it comes to setting up camera framing.
